Project Description: Expedite were employed on a multi-disciplinary basis to provide architectural design and civil and structural engineering services for Acorn’s open-market residential development of the former Rest Hotel in Porthcawl, South Wales.

This project was led by Expedite Design Services supported by our civil and structures team. Our role involved conserving and restoring the buildings historical features, obtaining permissions, planning and designing with sensitivity to heritage, and coordinating with specialists and contractors to ensure proper implementation while adhering to Building Regulations.

The Links is an artful blend of old-world charm and modern aesthetics, thoughtfully designed to harmonize the past with the present. This exceptional residential development comprises a range of exquisite 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments which all sold out off plan.

At its heart, The Links showcases a masterful restoration and transformation of a Victorian Grade- II listed building, honouring its heritage and preserving its historical significance, which was completed on time and within budget in 2022.
