Project Description: Boutique Student Living is a luxury student accommodation block in the centre of Swansea. 

This building, formerly a 5-storey office block, consists of 80 Studio apartments and amenity spaces. Changing the use of a building from commercial to residential always adds complexity to the architectural design, along with a tight construction programme of September for the student intake, Expedite rose to the challenge.

Expedite are passionate about re-development projects, with this scheme breathing life back into a redundant building. The skills of our team allowed the client to add an additional 2 studio flats into the space, increasing the rentable space in the building.

We also created an ‘underground’ amenity space in the basement, with a lounge, gym and private dining room. All of which have an urban feel which was created in collaboration with our in-house Interior design team.

The basement of the building was formerly the car park and as this site is situated in the heart of Swansea, there was no need to retain this. Using our creative skills these additional spaces have had measurable value to this building.

We considered the best use of the space, ensuring that the usable area was optimised for our client. The collaborative culture within Expedite means that we work together as one for our clients to deliver the best possible outcome.
