Project Description: Expedite provided Employer’s Agent services on the development of 48no affordable residential units and ground floor commercial space at a formerly disused commercial site on City Road in Cardiff for Linc Cymru.

The site of a former snooker hall and second hand furniture retail space was condemned and subsequently demolished in 2018.

In its place is Cascade Tower, a seven storey building designed with energy efficiency in mind. Constructed using Cross Laminated Timber, the building is now Wales’ tallest residential timber building. The specification includes solar panels on the roof, increased insulation and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery systems to help circulate fresh air and reuse any heat in the apartments and supporting low-energy living for the tenants.
