Mental Health Awareness Week | 13th to 19th May 2024

Expedite is pleased to be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week, an annual event hosted by the Mental Health Foundation. This year, it takes place from 13th – 19th May 2024, with the theme of “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”.

Research shows that regular physical activity can have a positive impact on our mental health. When we exercise, our bodies release feel-good hormones that can reduce anxiety and stress, and improve our sleep quality. By incorporating movement into our daily routines, we can also boost our productivity and focus.

Unfortunately, many people find it challenging to get enough exercise due to various reasons. However, during this Mental Health Awareness Week, we are aiming to help individuals overcome these obstacles and incorporate movement into their everyday lives. You can take a walk in your neighbourhood or around your office area, dance to your best music playlist at home, or do chair exercises while watching your favourite series on Netflix – all of these activities count towards your daily exercise routine.

Expedite encourages everyone to participate in Mental Health Awareness Week and take a step towards better mental health. If you need additional support, the Samaritans are available 24/7. Their website is https://www.samaritans.org/.

Exeter Living Awards – Expedite Interiors Shortlisted

Exeter Living Awards celebrates the best of Exeter’s businesses, communities, events and achievements. We are proud that Expedite Interiors was shortlisted in two categories – Homes & Interiors and Property.

We completed a challenging 78-bed student accommodation project for Boutique Student Living in Exeter. Overcoming on-site hurdles, our hands-on approach ensured a timely fit-out for students by September 2023. Providing a comprehensive turnkey package, we handled procurement and installation, showcasing our capabilities and commitment to delivering high-quality, functional interiors.

A significant stride in business development was our purposeful expansion into the education sector. Securing a pivotal two-year contract with New College Swindon opened fresh avenues. Under this agreement, we are actively involved in designing a new link building and supporting refurbishments across two sites. This strategic expansion underscores our adaptability, versatility, and proficiency in meeting diverse client needs. Our technical design skills are showcased in crafting tailored solutions for specialised spaces, reinforcing our commitment to delivering excellence.

Expanding further in the education sector, we achieved a milestone with the completion of the stage 4 design for Plymouth Marjon University’s Health and Well-being Hub. This transformative project involves refurbishing a two-story building for public health services and nursing training. The dual functionality underscores our commitment to positive contributions in educational spaces.

Sophie Weeks, Interiors Director, commented “We’re thrilled about the achievements of our small yet dynamic team this year. Crafting lively, captivating, and practical interiors remains our forte. Being rooted in Exeter fills us with pride, and we’re optimistic about shining a light on the exceptional talent thriving in our city. Here’s to more success and putting Exeter’s creativity on the map!”

Huge congratulations to the winners of these categories respectively, System Six Kitchens and Acorn Property Group.
